Hi all, new to the forum and first post. I’ve had an S400 Classic in .22 for a while and love it to bits. Interested to know if there’s any mods/upgrades I can do? Thanks in advance

If it's working well I would let it be, lovely rifles.
For bling, and magazine systems Rowan engineering are very good, the come up on a Google search.
I would personally not fit a regulator, they don't need the added complexity imo.

Not really. I have one in .22 carbine and another .177 full length. Both have Rowan multi shot kits I've never used.

The only real modification is the T bar fill fitting has been swapped for a Best Fittings Foster quick fill on both. A cheap, easy and worthwhile change, IMO.

Thanks for the information. It’s working well for sure 👌🏼

As above, one of the few un ragged rifles that perform very well.
Leave it be, spend your money on good glass to compliment it.
If you’re a magpie like me there are folk that make oversized bolts etc etc out of shiny stuff online

Ha ha. I’ve got the same and did the same thing. Fitted them, used them a few times and then bought extra mags. Now I have got single shot. Don’t get me wrong, the Rowan kits are fantastic and I highly recommend them. I just always gravitate back to single shot.

Regarding upgrades @Air Gun Strutt, I don’t think they need any. Perfect as they are. You could change the bolt handle if you want something more comfortable or the stock if you want something that fits better. Here is mine.

Actually, just remembered another minor one. They both have UNF mod adapters but only one is fitted at the moment. It gives more options having a standard mod screw size.

The one without adapter has a Bl4de S400 mod, the one with has a Baby Fat Boy length mod on.

Great rifles, they work very well without regulators and at relatively low cylinder pressures. I dont fill mine above 160bar and it easily lasts a club session. Its .177 and originally a 10 shot version, and it was easy to convert it to single shot for competitions. The best thing I've done to mine is fit it into a s510 laminate stock and add a Bob Patendon ssl. For bench rest shooting I added a fore end pad, and a removeable short bipod to put it all down the right way up on.
