RWS Rapier...looks lovely...are they good?

I loved the Original 50 back in the seventies, when the BSA airsporter and Webley Osprey where the main choice, and the Weihrauch 35 and Feinwerkbau sport more exotic and expensive. The Original 50 was rare, but a lovely looking rifle and the RWS reminds me of it a lot. Any experience, recommendations all welcome please....not in a hurry to buy anything just pondering.

I would wait for an FX anorak to appear first, they're a good rifle but some parts are a bit dodgy and not always interchangeable with similar rifles like the Webleys etc.

Excellent rifle. Had one from new - pity they didn't do one in 0.177.

I love mine, and have just "won" an Excalibre at a local auction to go with it.
Would like to find one in .177 one day!
