Another quick one. Been looking at many (and i mean many) reviews online of the Reximex and Kral rifles and they seem pretty similar performance wise. Some report better triggers on Kral products, some say Kral filling system with their own fittings is a PITA and others show quality issues with Reximex woodwork (Chris Parkins Pretensis K video in particular). Are they actually just a rebrand from the same factory? Is it a quality control lottery ? I know theres no substitute for getting hands on before you buy but interested in the experiences of actual owners out there.
 
AFAIK they are basically the same company, and I was advised a while back, probably on here, that Reximex is the slightly higher quaility marque of the two.
However, I've had both a Kral (NP02) and a Reximemx (Regime) and to my non expert eye, they were very similar in terms of build quality, value for money, etc. I know a couple of peeps who have had an NP02 and had leaks, but luckily for me, mine has always been ok (its about three years old now). Never had any probs with the Rexi.
Would I have another Kral or Rexi? yes I would.
Theres never a gaurantee that a gun will be a good or a bad one, just like buying a washing machine, car, fishing rod, TV, etc, you just gotta take your chance and go for it.....
 
Ive owned 5 krals, (still have 2) and have 4 reximex rifles, ive enjoyed all of them and found them well made but room for improvements. My .22 np02 has had 7000+ pellets through it and has cost me £60 in repairs when the copper link pipe sprung a leak, the others have been faultless. You really are getting a lot for your money with the turkish offerings
 
When I went to buy my Kral, I had previous tried one out and had a horrid stiff trigger, and then in the shop the first NP02 they brough out also had a really harsh trigger, so I aksed them tio bring me anothet, (they had several in stock) and the second one had a much better trigger, much lighter, so I bought that one and I've never touched the trigger since and its always been good.
Its always worth trying out a gun before buying if you can, not always possible I know.

I saw one video the other day of someone taking the NP02 apart and that bit of copper pipe strung from front to back looked proper prototype to be honest. it obviously works but looks like it was put in on Friday afternoon by an apprentice plumber. Quality control is any issue with any product as you rightly say but you would like to think it was actually a proper process rather than a box-tick.

They have to use the long cu connecting pipe, cos the NP02 has both a front cylinder and a rear bottle, so has a larger capicity and larger shot count, and they have to be connected some how? Cheers

Agreed about the turks. I have a number of Yildiz shotguns and cant fault them but they are by definition less complex than a PCP. Why did you ditch the other 3 Krals?

I had an np02 in .177, .22 and .25, I sold the .177 to a mate when he decided to take up the sport and the .25 rarely came out the cabinet so I sold it and put the money from both towards a hi-cap, sold my puncher maxi as it wasn't getting used and I wanted a zulus

Im sure there are but its still an indicator of overall quality. Good engineering has to look good from inside as well as the more obvious outside bits in the shop window.

Same pipe on the FiX gladiator and not to many issues unless your tinkering a lot and knocking it about, Ive not had issues with those joiners.

QC is about the same as most other PCPs at price point and Id go Kral over Rexi as I’ve a few Krals and one Rexi, no horror story’s here and a bonus is they are so simple to strip and service, plus parts are cheap and readily available
 
After a few issues with my Pretensis - mainly power dropping off and dodgy quality control, single stage trigger when it should have been two stage, stock screws too long - once they were sorted it made a decent gun. It holds air perfectly for months and has a huge shot count, more accurate than me but I was slightly indifferent to it until I stuck a Zulus on and now the balance is great and head position doesn't care. I was planning on getting a HW100 but that urge has gone.
 
Having one of each - a Kral NP03 and a Reximex Mito, I feel that the Rexi has the edge in terms of quality. Not much of a sample size and I'm quite happy with both of them, different as they are to each other.

I saw a Pretensis review where the trigger had the very same issue out of the box so thats worrying. I like a good fettle as much as the next man but only to improve matters rather than fix whats faulty from new. Did your faults get fixed quickly ( or better still gave you a replacement rifle) or did it take a while?

What was the deciding factor to get the NP03 over the NP02? Shot count would lead me towards the NP02..

It went back to Range Right twice and the first time they set up the trigger, sorted the stock screws and reset the power (had dropped to around 9fpe) and sent it back quite quickly, second time they raised the power back to where it should be and fitted a Lane regulator (I bought the reg and paid a small amount for fitting) The third time the power dropped I decided to ditch the warranty and got @A.C.T 59 to sort it out and three+ years later it's still really consistent (around 11.6fpe) and over 200 shots per fill..
The Zulus made it balance really well and now I really like it. I've lost the urge to spend a chunk on another rifle 😁

Wow glad its sorted but thats some journey to get there..
