Hi All. I’ve had my Mito for a couple of weeks now and must say that I love it! Fun to shoot and accurate to boot. When I was looking for a back garden pistol that could take a moderator, I nearly went for the Artemis PP700 sa. Although I’m pretty sure I made the right choice, I’ve still got a niggle wondering whether the Mito is better than the Artemis. Although I probably might not want to know (if I did go the wrong way!), what are people’s experiences? Anyone shot (or got) both?
Many thanks,

Thanks. It’s such a great erm… pistol? Superbly easy to mod it to have all the extras.

The foregrip as actually an adjustable monopod. I had a hamster on it for a bit but I fancied a change so I put this on it.

I can’t decide if I like the butthook or not. So I’ve left it off for now. The dropped shoulder pad is a game changer for me as I’m 6’ 2” and just can’t get on with the regular height.

Moderators do quiet it down a lot.

Single shot loader from a guy at my club who I recently found out is banned from here so I won’t mention them.

Hawke Red dot.

Honestly to OP the Mito is the perfect “budget” pistol. You can just keep playing with it and turning it into a new gun every day.

The PP700 is a decent pistol. One of the chaps at my club has one and I have shot it. Just feels a bit weird in my hands.

Oh and if you haven’t already. Do the trigger spring changes to thinner springs on your Mito. I’ve got .3 springs in and it’s so much nicer to shoot.

My PP700 has given me a lot of fun over 5 years now. No trouble at all once I fixed the filler valve problem. The O ring kept self destructing. Eventually I used one size up and that fixed things. Replacing it is, honestly, ust a 10 minute job...plus finding the right O ring to use!

The Mito could be so much better out of the box. Lighter trigger springs, adjustable sight elevation, proper two stage trigger. I have a ten shot after market magazine as well as the factory nines, that makes a lot more sense and if a third party can make, why not the factory?

Having sorted all that I’m starting to really enjoy it, just need time to get the best out of me, now.

I've owned the Artemis/Snowpeak PP700SA and for a brief time a PP750 and they're 'okay'. The Mito, in my opinion, is definitely the better pistol, and 'Micro Carbine' platform.

Don’t get me wrong, I do like the Mito, I had one of the first in the country back in 2018? (got it the day if release from CSS) and the big thread about them on AGF1 was mine and I did most of the of early mods and tinkering on them, But to me the PP750 has a much bigger aftermarket for the custom builder, mainly because the Notos is just a reworked PP750 and the Americans absolutely love that rifle 👍

I didn't hate the PP pistols, they were OK for what they are. Banter aside, the Mito (Reximex) isn't perfect, far from it (these brands are, afterall, 'budget') but the Mito has genuinely impressed me, so much so that I invested in Bob's stock and some other bits.

Please don't lambast me here guys, the Mito looks like a nice pistol, but why are so many people turning it into a short rifle? Everyone to their own I guess, but if you want a pistol ok, I like shooting pistols as well as rifles, If you want a rifle buy a rifle. Plenty of choice.

I bought mine because I wanted a pistol. It came with a stock so I put it on and it was fun to modify.

I still shoot it as a pistol often though. Just it’s not the most photogenic as a pistol.
