I have decided to refinish the handle on one of my knives. It’s a walnut handle with some lovely grain but has never been given the breath of life to shine.
Over the past few weeks, I have decided to give it a good once over. The photos really do not give this justice, I’m really happy with how it has come out.

I knocked the recipe up years ago (probably 15 years or longer) I can’t remember what I put in now, as it’s in a clear plastic bottle. I have also used boiled linseed oil which give a nice finish too.

It certainly gives a nice finish well done

So, yesterday I took order of a new knife. I have been very excited about this coming so I was really looking forward to receiving it…….. to say I’m underwhelmed is an understatement. The finish on the handle looks so plain and boring needless to say this will be having the same treatment. Hopefully it turns out just as nice I plan on making this quite dark and rich in colour.
