Record Sear adjustment screw guide replacement.

The guide which holds the sear adjustment screw (forbidden screw) on my HW35 has started to crack and break up, is it possible to replace this guide without having to strip out all the sears etc.?

You’ll need to remove the sear tension screw and spring, the trigger blade and pin which secures the inner and outer lower sear (damaged one). If you take the tension off the upper sear by compressing it and restricting it’s movement with a pin through the holes in the top of the housing you’ll make life easier for yourself.

Reassembly is reverse order.

If you’re struggling give me a shout. It could be perfectly usable like that, or the adjustment screw could be loose and it could go out of adjustment.

I had one recently like that where the sear had cracked, it happens now and again. I just replaced the sear for the owner.

The grub screw stays in long enough for me to set the trigger up, but keeps falling out after 20 to 30 shot. I have ordered a new cradle. I have put some thread lock on the grub screw as a quick fix until the new part arrives.
The adjustment screw was floating around inside the stock the first time I stripped it.
