They should give @deleted member a shout, he will clean up and give them a bloody good tome on how it went.

I have found rats nests in car air intake pipes and behind dashboards, they do enjoy eating cables I must admit.
Rats incisors continue to grow thought their lifetime. So it is their instinct to chew on everything they find to keep their teeth from growing . Apparently cables have the right texture to do the job without being painful to them....something I came across a while back :)

Saw the same on a mate's Ford Fairlane when we checked on it in Tucson. He'd left it in an open air lockup for 4 months while he travelled the world. Nothing really rusts in Arizona but the 'pack rats'! Not only did they shred all the cable casings and hoses, it looked like they'd nicked the copper as well.

Sound’s just lovely… I’ve had a few dealings with shops in Southampton in the past year, place must be infested. Council had to dig up and relay the rear delivery road due to rat burrows

Picked up brand new Ford Transit last week. 5 days later engine management light came on.
Phoned garage and they can see the fault code their end as they have modems in them and log into it remotely.
He said he can almost guarantee Fox’s have chewed the exhaust sensor cable.
Took van in and bingo! Chewed cable.
He said it’s so common and to do with what they wrap the cables with that attracts the fox’s.

Past job as a engineer in a recycling plant it was an everyday occurrence.
Sensor wires, wiring looms on the flt's and excavators.
Lil shits made my early morning starts hell.
Who wants to open an flt engine to have rats jump out at you at 05.30?
Worst thing is they wouldn't let me shoot them. 😡😂

It does no good for cats though!
But then again, the Austrians did used to add the stuff to their wines a while back.
Doesn't surprise me, apparently Fosters is "amber nectar" looks like a urine sample to me and tastes just like I imagine a urine sample would taste as well, antifreeze would probably raise the alcohol content and improve the taste.. but that's not from personal experience 🤣

Hi fella's,on Wednesday my young nephew fed there tortoise in the morning. It has the run of the garden in the day. On coming home after the school run my sister in-law found it in a terrible state. Unfortunately they had to have it put to sleep, rats had eaten it's front legs .A real mess chunks of them ripped off. Vet said it's not the first he'd seen. They did have a cat for years aswell but that had died ,that probably kept the rats at bay in the past.
