Afternoon all

I was just wondering if any of you HW100 owners out there who use a sling on their rifles could answer me a couple of questions please.

Question 1: How secure would the front and rear studs be on the rifle? What I mean Is, over time would there be any chance of the sling securing studs coming loose due to the heavy weight of my full size HW100s and fitted DNT Zulus V2? I've already purchased the front screw In stud and the rear stud (that needs drilling into the stock to fit) but I've never drilled into a rifle stock before.

Question 2 : Because I've never used a sling before in over 45 years of shooting, I'm just double checking what the required size of drill bit should be to fit the rear sling mounting stud Into the HW100s walnut stock. I've heard that It's 4 mm, Is that correct?

Cheers guys 🤔

As a thought, if you're not confident/don't want to drill your stock, you can always pick up a butt plate with a sling stud...

I would hope the sling stud instructions would tell you what size hole to drill.

My HW100 can be used with a sling. The front sling stud is effectively a bolt and nut not a screw and is very secure. Can dig it out and post a picture if it is not clear what I mean 👍

You need one of these to replace the front stud. As others have said a 4mm drill bit for the rear stud
