Following my recent posts about my prosport being faulty and having to take it back
Contacted the shop today to see what is going on told by the guy on phone its going back to aa to be fixed I then said I would like a replacement instead told no can't do that then I said money back no guns gotta go back to be fixed was then told not my fxxxing gun is broke well its a good job I wasn't there in person I can tell you
Told I will get a call at the end of week and that was that
Rfd is in fleet shall not be using again

I rang aa to see if they could do anything gave them the name of shop saying that over the last 3 years I have spent £3000 on there riffles nothing they could do the lady said

Bit crap but I can understand the shop and AA's position - they may not have another in stock and to get another sent out will cost someone money.. although of course this shouldn't be necessary had the gun been fit for sale in the first place.

As LumisArms says above; if you really want to force the issue reject it as unfit for purpose and request a full refind.. you might want to check your consumer rights to check you're within the appropriate timeframe for this to take place. If you paid for it on a credit card you could also set the card issuers on them...

What's the issue with your rifle?.

They've offered to repair it, which is the correct method and inline with your consumer rights.

Assuming it comes back sorted then you will have many happy years with it.

Yes it should have been 100% aligned from the factory, so there is a QC issue to be raised - however I wouldn't let it put me off.

Is not a full refund also in line with his consumer rights, depending on how long he has had it? I was recently sent a POS by a well known company, especially well known on here, and their first suggestion was repair, which I rejected out of hand, or replacement. When prompted by me that there was a third option, full refund, they agreed and mentioned the 14 day period.

However, is that 14 day period for change of mind only, rather than not of merchantable quality?

See the following link:

You nhave an absoute right to insist on a refund if the goods were faulty on delivery or you return them as unsatisfactory (within the meanings described in the link) within 30 days. If you have used the gun for more than 30 days, THEY have a right to attempt a repair - ONE repair after that, a refund. If you've had it 6 months you can only get a partial refund. And your contract is with the shop you bought it from, not the manufacturer of the gun - you have no contract with them, you DO have a contract with the shop so don't accept their excuses about "It's Acme Cheapo Guns Ltd policy, not us"....

Used that dealer once and only once.
I am NOT a fan !!
I will never go back.

Only Had the riffle for 2 weeks

It's a fishing shop that flogs a few guns and knows nothing about them. I went to look at a rifle few years ago and their test area was an open area with a chain link fence by the bins using a load of scrap for a backstop. Anyone walking around could be at risk.

Needless to say I walked away

Well there's some info on here that shows you are entitled to a full refund if you want it. Because I'm a bit of a jerk myself when jerked around, I'd be making the guy refund me just because he has tried not to in clear violation of my Statutory Rights to receive one.

What a sh*t show, go back to the shop with a copy of the consumer rights act 2015 and demand a refund and also film the conversation on your phone for when you might have to take legal action.

If its within 30 days of purchase you're entitled to a refund, if the RFD wont give you one contact your card company direct.
Remember your contract is with the RFD not Air Arms though.
Sadly like many British companies they don't care about the customer once they have your money.
I don't deal with AA or Daystate anymore.
