The weight adjuster screw is circled in red. The head of the screw is on the underside of the action block, it takes a 4mm allen key and can be accessed through a hole in the underside of the factory stock, or directly if the stock is removed. Screwing it inwards increases the weight of pull.

There's a very small metal sear part that may have worn?

If the rifle intermittently won't cock or fires on closing this can be due to damage on tghe engagement sueface on the striker itself. The intermittent occurrence is because the striker is free to rotate so the problem area only lines up with the sear every so often.

Have you wound that adjuster in, as it does add weight to the let off.

I recently had to increase the release weight on my Pro-Target (same trigger group as EV2 and FTP900) because of diabetic neuropathy in my fingers meant I was struggling feeling the trigger and firing it unexpectedly. Adjusting the screw indicated sorted things for me.

If it doesn't do it for you, exchanging the extension spring for a slightly stronger one will add more weight.

That will be the upper tip of part labelled '2'. I would expect wear on that part to cause engagement issues. I haven't personally had one of those wear as of yet.

The arrowed grub screw controls the second stage point, wound all the way out there won't be a second stage, the trigger will just roll straight through until it fires.

@Richcj, as said the trigger weight is adjusted by a grub screw under the front of the trigger guard. Screwing it in adds weight to the trigger. Someone may have also changed the spring for a lighter one.

This is the sear engagement when it's cocked, I feel like there should be more engagement.
It's like part 1B doesn't drop enough during the cocking cycle .

Little update on my issue. It looks like it was spring related. I reduced the length by just over a third and now it's absolutely perfect. I can now adjust it fully from hair trigger all the way to hunting trigger. It looks like the original spring had either been replaced with a lighter one or had become weak at the lower third.
I took some measurements so I'm going to order a couple of different sizes as spares just incase the spring needs replacing completely.

Well, this appears to be the best place to see if my issue has a fix. I bought this weekend an EV2 Mk 1 and it shoots ok. However when you cock the gun, the cocking lever does not stay locked and the cocking plate creeps forward almost pushing the pellet probe in to the breech. The only thing I have picked up from this thread is that the trigger weight spring might not be beefy enough and looking at some of the pictures in this thread it might be my spring is not standard. My spring appears to be 10 mm long, 4.5 mm outer diameter and made up of 0.3 mm wire. I have as yet been unable to locate the original part RN360 to see if this is the culprit. Is there any other place I should be looking? I do not see anything else that could hold the cocking lever back. Any assistance is appreciated. MTIA
