EV2 Mk2 Maintenance

I have a few questions following a malfunction with my EV2.
The side cocking lever stopped staying engaged just before this problem started; twice, the weapon fired while closing the mechanism.
Naturally, I always cock the rifle with the barrel pointing towards the ground, so there's no risk except for the grass.

I'd like to know if it's possible to completely empty the air reservoir?
Do you have any video links showing how to disassemble this rifle?
I admit I'm not very skilled in this kind of work; unfortunately, there aren't any professionals in this field in my country.

OK, I'll start by taking a closer look.

I disassembled the action and checked the various parts. I suspect the problem is with part #50, which no longer engages properly during cocking.
I no longer hear the locking sound when opening.

That's the cocking link that pulls the hammer back. Worth a check is the little rocker sear part number 37, they can stick on pivot and check the spring engagement. Also make sure the brass bush 51 is fitted correctly. I do miss my EV2

Back the adjustment off the sear to let the sear engage more .
Have you a picture of your trigger unit ?

Yes, I took a picture; a spring had come loose. I put it back in place.

I reinstalled the side plate of the trigger block.
Still the same problem.

So there you have it, you were absolutely right, the screw you pointed out with your pen was screwed in too tightly.

I admit I'd never disassembled the trigger assembly before.

I know it's a mistake; having PCP airsoft guns, I need to learn.

I do it for my springers, but the parts seem less fragile.... This overhaul allowed me to adjust the trigger almost exactly like on my LG400, first and second stages with virtually the same break, it's perfect.

I reassembled everything.

Oh, let's just say I also received some very valuable help... I'm going to take a closer look at my airrifles (PCPs) from now on, in order to gain a better understanding and approach.

Apologies for jumping in on this thread but I also have an ev2 with a very light trigger. I've tried on numerous occasions to add some weight to it with no avail and always end up back where it was to start with.
Tried again last night as I wanted to check where the grub screw in the video was set but it pretty much backed all the way out.
The trigger itself is excellent but a little too light for me, is there anything else I can try or are there any wearing parts that can be replaced?
Just to add this is the most over complicated trigger mechanism I've ever come across

I don't think the screw is worn because it's not really working.

Is it the same one that's giving you trouble that I'm having?

It isn't complicated, just a different configuration.


The weight adjuster screw is circled in red. The head of the screw is on the underside of the action block, it takes a 4mm allen key and can be accessed through a hole in the underside of the factory stock, or directly if the stock is removed. Screwing it inwards increases the weight of pull.
