I`ve always strived to build and create natural hides for hunting but every now and again find a pop up hide might be a must have option when no other cover is available.
Natural hides I find are best .

Any suggestions please ?

I've a single seater pop up hide from Nitehawk.
I was recommended it by my shooting mate as he swears by it when on the maggies.

It's light to carry in it's own bag, quick to erect and put down.

But, and it's only a little but... I always put some army netting over it to break up the colours and over the front of the opening.

Once set up with the rifle on the tripod it's very cosy and comfortable.

My mate's actually fallen to sleep in his on a couple of occasions 😂👍

Same as @franksy, I have a single seat "pop-up" hide from nitehawk. just a simple camping chair with a built in framed cover that comes over you and I love it. quality control is a tad iffy for it's price but considering the relatively small market for them it still seems fair.

It's brilliant during the colder months as it's completely enclosed and quite small so you're a good couple of degrees warmer, keeps the wind off and the rain too*. If you set up on a tripod you can then add a phone mount, connect your phone to remote view your night vision/thermal while you sit back and have brew and nothing around you is any the wiser. It's pretty light and comes in a bag you can wear as a backpack for easy carrying. It can be set up and taken down in literally seconds, moving position if you've not got it quite right is as simple as picking up the chair and moving it. multiple windows so you can take your pick. I tend to use the tiny front window rather than the big one and leave my left and right rear most windows open too for a bit of situational awareness, but if it starts getting chilly or windy the side windows get done up.

*It says it's "waterproof" but none of the seems are taped, the zips have no protection and you'll notice a fair few little pin holes in the canopy if you sit in it during daylight. when mine first arrived I gave it a spray down with fabsil proofer then on the inside touched up all the seems and holes with a tent seem repair pen (kind of like a wipe on silicone). rain still comes in through a couple of places on the zips if a particularly heavy shower moves through but tends to just track strait to the floor. Prolonged light and medium rain is fine too, I've never come out of it wet yet.

I used a pop up hay bale hide for a few years until i found a good collapsable hide similar to this one.

Its perfect for me. Lightweight, massive amount of space, windows all round & goes up & back down agin in seconds. I've used this almost weekly throughout the summer on rabbits since i got it. I pop it up out of sight of the bunnjes, get in, lift it of the floor slightly and slowly walk about 10 yards into position, ceep out the back door and get the rest of my kit. The bunnies dont even notice me.

I did a fabsil spray job on mine aswell, but haven't done the seams.
Still get out dry as a bone 👍

Nighthawk single chair blind works well for me a little cramped with tripod inside but workable
I think the double chair version might be better
I have been looking at the umbrella fishing shelters as well but would have to put a cam net over the front I have an umbrella shelter but havent got round to setting it up and trying it out with my chair and cam net

Do you use a tripod or sticks and are they inside or outside
To be honest haven’t used it with air rifle always with shot gun but give shot gun up just recently and started back into air rifles only.Plenty of room inside for tripod ps chair is comfy so Don’t fall asleep lol

I tried the one with the built in chair but struggled with my primos sticks. So have been looking at the larger square ones. I may wait till shooting show to see any up close

Have been using this pop up hide from nitehawk for two or three years with good effect easy to put up although poles are not the strongest and you do need to take a chair. ...
But full 360° view and loads of room inside
Packing it away can be a challenge until you get the knack then it's easy and will definitely get another or something similar when this one gives up

@Jeff H
I have the single chair one and yes it is tight with a camera tripod inside which is why I am thinking of going for the double I am 6ft 4 and weigh 17 stones as well which may be contributing to the reason there is not much space :ROFLMAO:
