Pistol Barrel Cleaning

Found these metal straw cleaning brushes whilst browsing Temu. I bought some and they are a perfect fit for cleaning a 177 pistol barrel.
These cost virtually nothing, so I just thought I'd share with you all. They work very well indeed folks.

Yes nylon I think, or something similar.

Most of my cased Webleys have them.
They're not as solid as the real thing, but they dress up a boxed or cased gun very nicely.

Not as solid, but so cheap and easy to replace when you need to. That is one lovely collection you have there Harry. Something to be proud of !

Nylon bristles, but looks like steel rod with really sharp ends air gun pellets (unless the bore / rifling is very rough) do not “lead” like a full bore or even a rim fire, as they don’t melt the base of the bullet. Most manufacturers don’t recommend anything more than a felt pellet with some cleaner on if you really want to. Leading gets to a point and then stops, if you clean it you then have to re lead to that point to get back to consistency. Most “cleaning” rods were actually more for removing jammed pellets and usually brass so they wouldn’t scratch the steel barrel.

Yes, nylon bristles and the metal is stainless steel. The sharp end doesn't touch the inside of the barrel due to the bristles
