Blimey, what did you take that with? It’s fantastic….Lot of talk about planets lining up lately. here is my shot of just one from last night.View attachment 681580
Looks like a wider focal length lens. Did you have a polarizer on the lens? They often produce a banding type effect on shorter focal length lenses.Spot on. It's a lovely city. I used to live within a stones throw of the Baths but at the time was more into fishing the river than taking photos. Now I mainly take wildlife shots. I took this one after coming out of a Jessops having bought a new lens to try out. I find it annoying that the sky appears to be two different shades of blue but its because the gradient is broken by the arch. View attachment 679175

Thanks. Taken with one of these with a Nikon Z9 on the back end.Blimey, what did you take that with? It’s fantastic….
No Polarizer but it is an extreme wide angle lens (10mm). Its the compressed scale of the sky which gives the gradient and breaking it causes the effect. The pic is also the result of combining two shots to allow for the extreme range of lighting between the shadows and the sun lit world.Looks like a wider focal length lens. A Merry-Go-Round ! There was one down at my local park in California when I was a kid. Your photo just brought back some good memories.
Hi, Welcome and pleased your first post was on a thread I started. Little tip if you wish your image to be shown large in the post use the icon between the links and smiley face rather than the attach files. (something I also learnt with my first post). Nice shot by the way, just the type of image I was aiming at. (I use the phrase aiming at a lot on the forum for some reason). My first AGF post, hi all.
