People with printers

Interesting, what privacy concerns do you have as I own a bamboo printer
I’ve been put off by multitudes of reviewers online and in forums, quoting that the bambu closed environment, it was a little while ago they unveiled a plan to limit which slicer could be used, which they backpedaled on as far as I understand.
Even the guy in the posted YT vid mentioned it would never be allowed on his network without being locked down.
The background is that 3DPrinting has been a open sharing community with the RepRap movement starting a lot of what we have today.

I haven’t had time to watch this video yet, but looks like the license they claim to use (open-source) is the latest controversy

Previously it was firmware lockdowns and slicers

Thanks, I will take a look, TBH I have not had any issues yet, I just print from the makersworld website

I don’t think it’s very practical problems, more philosophical and 3DP community based issues of mistrust.
Totally! I bought my H2S as I just wanted a good printer in an enclosure with the AMS2, I never looked into the darker side of it

Ive got an ender neo v2 and its on my desk ready for when I need it , comes in handy for lots of stuff

i have a very very old flashforge creator pro that decided that it doesnt want to stick to the bed anymore. i have had issues ever since i printed with ABS. Mind you i havnt done any maintenance for about 5 years so its not done bad. Looks like time for a full strip down and dust of the spares box. I only do simple prints and use Shapr 3d on my ipad because its super easy to use once you get used to it and i can export to STL.

I might spend some of my saved FAC money on a new printer as its doesn't look like my FAC license is coming any time soon and thinking about a Bambu Labs P1P.

Bambu don't sell the P1P now only the P1S @ £339 for the basic unit.

Question, maybe wrong place but put me right if not. The question is can any of you make me a bottle/barrel band to my dimensions.

This was a slightly chunkier version I did to put a picatinny/nato rail on the bottom to hold a chrono or light etc.
this one’s on a CP2, I think the first picture was for a QB/XS/TH78

Adding myself to he lost of 3D printer owners. Ender 3 pro, it's getting on a. It now but it's good enough for functional parts. I've just started experimenting with printing moderators.
Upgraded to an Elegoo Centauri Carbon, much faster, much easier. Time to have another go at moderators, the old ender 3 wasn't up to the task.

Highly recomend the centauri if your after an affordable option that just works, picked this one up on sale at £230

I've got one too. Brilliant bit of kit for the money.
Just recently bought the Canvas system for it too, to enable it to do multicoloured and multi material prints.
For £38, I thought it was well worth giving it a go.👍🏻

What is the size of the bed? IS it similar to a Bamboo P1 ?

You can do this yourself using very simple click and move tools like thinkercad. Simply drag in a few round shapes and move them about. Its so easy to do. When i go tm y printer i started doing basic things this way before moving into full cad apps
