I’m looking to pick up some Pellgun oil but I was wondering if anybody on the forum sells a better/cheaper alternative? I’ve read that it is just ATF fluid but I don’t have time to get to Halfords in the next couple of weeks.

Appreciate any pointers folks have.

I suspect that many petrol stations/services/car sales/ garages also sell ATF ... mostly in 500ml bottles?
Or your local friendly garage may give you 5 or 10ml if you ask nicely.
I have also heard that Pellgun is ATF but do not know if it is a special grade of ATF or any ATF will do. Might be worth a Google?
Cheers, Phil :)

I wouldn't use ATF as it could be unkind to seals. A tube of Pellgunoil or similar costs about a fiver, not really worth chancing it.

I use lubrication oil for compressed air systems. I’ve been using it for years with no Ill effects.

Saying that... just noticed this on the back of a pellgunoil pack
