Pellet weighing scales

Some of the scales I’ve collected over years.

From what i've found, it seems unless you're willing to spend £500+ on magnetic force restoration scales, they're all pretty much alike, they'll all be strain gauge type scales and are inherently unstable and will drift..

I have a cheap low range (i.e. low max weight) jewelry scale. When buying you need to check resolution - some will be 0.2gr and better ones 0.1gr (and note this is grains not grammes).
Mine are consistent - multiple weighing of the same pellet gives the same result - this is more important than accuracy as all I'm doing is batching them and I don't care much what they weigh exactly as long as a batch is all the same...

Mine are similar to THIS

I use these only because I reload so I have them they could do with another decimal point.

I got some like these from AliExpress dirt cheap.
Several versions are available with precision down to 0.01g and various max weights.
You can switch to grain, carat, and g of course.

.177 pellets being announced at 0.01g weight differences, it should be enough.🤔
I too think that consistency is more important than exactitude. I have yet to find a batch of pellets that correspond exactly to what is written on the tin! 😂
If you can redistribute them into three groups of limited variation, that's pretty good going.
It's also an opportunity to inspect the state of the skirts, which might well be of even greater importance. 😁

Nope. 0.001gram, is 0.015 grain.. That's the resolution you need or don't bother...

Got mine from Amazon, AccuWeight Model number IC255 300g.
Not sure there is much difference between them just make sure it measures in grains (gn) as not all of them do.
Took a punt and ordered one to see if batched pellets would lessen the flyers. Going straight back - same pellet 8.4/8.8/8.4/9.4/9.1 gn

About as much use as a chocolate teapot (this one anyway) but what did I expect for £10 🤦🏻‍♂️
