Been doing a bit of linking, 10yds,in the garden with these pellets (pics attached)
Dont usually use ones these heavy, but they were bought for me as a crim o present. Believe they are reasonably expensive and the quality of the skirts/dome heads seem high quality, as you would expect with the name FX.
But........ They are flying all over the place, even with a fulled topped up PCP!!
Usually checks, scope alignment, clean barrel, no damage to skirts. So I'm guessing that these pellets just don't like my rifle, as I hear peps talking about on all the forums. Just wondered if anyone else had experienced these "Aeroflot" pellets.?? Got to say they did look good so used straight from the tin, didn't wash/weigh or put them through a pellet sizer.

Do you have the capacity to ( easily) adjust muzzle velocity ? If so, try them at either a slightly higher or lower speed; the result may surprise you. By the way - FX are rebranded JSB stuff.👍

Yep.......common issue - different rifles, guns, barrels can be fussy with different types, brands of pellets, power of gun etc...and size of pellets 5.5, 5.51, 5.52 etc and can react differently. Just one of those things. It may be that they work great in a different rifle. It's a case of just finding the pellet that suits yours. Not necessary anything wrong with the pellet

JSB manufactured pellets are anecdotally quite batch dependant, and as such groups can and do vary, even in guns they do suit.

Thanks guys. Cannot adjust muzzle velocity. But do have to admit they are a classy looking pellet that are now Jsb. May have to accept that these are not for this rifle. Was shooting some Bisley flathead, all lot cheaper, but the grouping at 20 yds was great. Been through a few different makes so far and still looking for a dome head that gives me good results like the flathead.

Have you chrono’d the gun?

Flathead should punch cleaner holes, but at 25-30yds they’ll spiral off as they are as aerodynamic as a bin lid.

Consider something Diablo shaped, around 15-16gr like the JSB Hades which in .22 is not awful (or cheap). H&N FTT (aka Daystate Kaisers, BSA Gold Star) are sub 15gr, and H&N Baracuda 15 are probably a decent shout.

Chronod gun about 3 months back. Seems fine, not overpowered. Yes did often wonder about the aerodynamics of a flathead. Rifle seems to like about the 14-15gn, so may pick up a well known pellet about this weight. I mean they don't build airplanes with a flat nose, so they dome must fly through the air with ease and stability.

Try Bisley LRG / H&N FTT

My AA S400F has to be the most unfussy barrel I've used, Shot new Wasps, Rifle RTX and Accupel FT today with hardly a diference (all similar profile/weight though)
