Great point!Useful if you've washed the pellets or maybe for old ones showing signs of oxidation. Not really worthwhile for new pellets straight from the tin which will have residual lube from manufacture.
If the pellet speed increases, does that not flatten your trajectory and give more accuracy at range?I have a old bottle of Napier pellet lube and other thin oils and did some tests shooting targets over the Chrony with my PCP's and the pellet speed increased a little but accuracy stays the same , then with my springers I don't bother as they are oil burners and blow it up the barrel .
More speed will flatten trajectory but that will not improve accuracy just means you need slightly less hold over.If the pellet speed increases, does that not flatten your trajectory and give more accuracy at range?
