Hi Guys.
I use a leather pellet pod around my neck for when I am comp shooting, I have to keep the lid un clipped so I can get to my pellets but if I bend down for something, sometime I lose pellets on the floor, one of the guys at our range told me that there is a pellet pouch you hang round your neck and you twist something on the bottom and it dispenses a pellet, this way you don't have to have an open top. Has anybody heard of such a thing? He says he can't remember the name of them, and I am not sure he is just on a wind up. Thanks Guys.

Another option is a flexible rubber holder that hangs around your neck.
It's hole punched for whatever caliber pellet you use & they stay put until you pop them out.(Holds up to 60 .177)
Bought 1 on eBay.
No, I have no affiliation 👍

Made a couple of these years ago out of old wellies.

I have one of those as well, I find if I just take a moment to clip the lid shut before moving around or bending down I don't tend to lose pellets.

I have tried many styles of pellet pouch for HFT shooting and I found the foloowing.

The hard leather, egg shape, Wilkens pouch do protect your pellets but the popper can be very difficult
to use with cold wet hands and it can dig in your chest for prone shots. Easy to forget to close the flap too.

The rubber pad style ones work well but offer no protection to your pellets, prone shots mean your
pellets could be laying in mud and dust, collecting in the skirt of the pellet, not good for your barrel.

The faux leather coin purse works ok but can can turn into a mess if it gets wet and the zips fail quite often

By far the best ive found is the "easy pellet pouch" on ebay. Hangs around the neck and has a sprung load
opening that can be operated with one hand. One side of the pouch is higher than the other and with the
higher side away from your body, its just a case pushing the top away from you with a single finger and pick
up a pellet. Closes on its own and wont stick in your chest on prone shots.

If you are using the Wilkins style pod, suggest you cut the pip off the press stud and glue a small round magnet onto the metal stud left. The flippy lid "female"clip is metallic so after you take out a pellet it falls back in place, the magnet grabs the lid bit and holds it preventing pellets dropping out when you stand up

I have used mine like this for years without pellets dropping out .. will grab a piccie if my description is not clear

I shoot FT so don't have the dig in the chest issue @BobP mentioned. I also have used the same pouch Bob suggested and they work great too .. Mine delaminate and sadly fell apart when I tried to get another the ebay shop was out of stock, hence the mod to the wilkins

MrsD has used one of the "easy pellet pouch" for about 10 years with no issue

Yes, it’s real — it’s called a rotary pellet dispenser or pellet feeder. It hangs around your neck and dispenses one pellet at a time with a twist.
