Parrots

Rocky is a very handsome boy, not like tatty old Eric!
Eric talks a lot, but funnily enough if he is on me he says very little!
He came with a few funny phrases, ‘dyou wanna cuppa tea love’ and ‘dyou fancy a curry dinner’ he doesn’t swear too much but says ‘fukinell’ at appropriate moments and ‘see ya later’ when people leave

Kernel says "see you on a minute" when we go out.
Whistles 'Colonel Bogey' 'The Great Escape' and ' Raiders of the Lost Ark'
Meows like a cat, coos like a pigeon, snorts like a pig, plus many other brilliant sounds.
Me and Mrs Idioteque discussed getting a parrot and decided not to.
Then I heard of a bird in crisis and had to step in. Got the bird safely installed and went out for the night. Mrs Idioteque was not happy. This unhappiness lasted about 5 minutes. Parrot now adored and mentioned first in our Will, before the kids.

I used to breed and hand rear African grey as well. I had 4 pair of them 3 of which regularly breed. Bought them at Newark show also had 4 pair of amazon parrots 4 different species . Used to love going to the parrot society show at Stafford show ground.
Did you go on parrotlinks?
I do love a mealy amazon me
I bought a couple of pairs from a guy near Nottingham and they were great.
Do you know Jules and Kev from Barnsley? They used to Hand Rear mine
I loved Newark but Stafford was better IMO.

No Parrot's , but i have kept and bred Budgies for many years, not interested in show type budgies , just the normal pet shop type!!! i have around 30 at the moment.
Budgies are part of the parrot family

Eric mimics a number of our dogs barks, and says eyup, when he is wandering about the house if the dogs get a bit close he has a very stern NO followed by 'get in your bed'
They are obviously intelligent as a lot of the things they say are in context!!
As he is only 14 years old and Viv and I are in our early and late 60's he is mentioned in our wills and left to my daughter, luckily he likes Rupert her partner :ROFLMAO:

Eric never poops when he is under the desk on his playstation! He can be there for hours will then come out and do something horrendous!
He will also come out, stroll into the kitchen and take a drink out of the dogs water bowl, before returning to the desk!!

Hi mate
No Don't think I did go on parrotlinks .
I bought 3 pairs of amazon's that been hand reard but had been put together to breed.
From a bloke who had advertised them in the parrot society magazine seem to think he was from Barnsley but that was years ago so not 100% sure. Funny enough I all ways found Stafford show good for British finches and siberian bullfinch ect . But Newark show for various parrots and some very nice mutation indian ringnecks. I still miss not keeping breeding birds but I've at least got rocky to keep me company lol.
