Beautiful set upI've got mine fitted to my .243 Tikka T3x Super Varmint. The view through the viewfinder is very good, but I wouldn't say noticeably better than the Alpex 4K. I still getting my head around all the menus. What did surprise me is that it appears to have two Ballistic Calculators - an auto (the usual) and a manual version into which you can enter the measured drop at any given distance.

Obviously a huge upgrade on the DS35. Even at 22x the picture it's useable if a bit blurry. Using my Dark Engine Blade ir (zoomed in quite a bit) I could clearly see a deer at 500y (and before anybody jumps on me, I don't shoot deer at night!)Have you tried in in darkness ? What is the image like when zooming in ?

Nope. That's bog standard Hawke Steel 30mm High mounts. I don't rate Hawke aluminium mounts (crap in fact), but I think their steel mount aren't too bad (got them on all my centrefires). I found the Pard supplied mounts to be way too high. Pard also include an alternative mount top that has a weaver rail on it for mounting a torch.Sounds goodquite looking forward to playing with mine when it turns up .
Are you using the supplied mounts in the picture ?
That's good to know , I have some vortex pro mounts that will do for now , in fact I rekon I have two pairs low / medium so they will get me up and running .Nope.
