Honestly I haven’t played around with it too much. My staking was cancelled but hope to get out at the end of the month for actual field use.
I’ve zero’ed it. Set it all up and had a small tinker. But having a DS35 it’s really identical so my urge to have an in-depth play has been lacking.
I’ve noticed there is a small amount of LRF lag compared with my DS35 but hope that can be resolved in a future firmware update. It still works and is accurate. Just slower to ping.
I knew what I was getting myself into when I purchased the scope and knew all the pros and cons.
It’s better than the DS35 but I wouldn’t say night and day better. But maybe I haven’t played around side by side as much as I should have. It having the same screen resolution, but different sensor. You don’t get an instant image pop saying wow this is different, but certainly noticeable when using the digital zoom.
Was a breeze to set up and zero of course. I’m happy with it. But until I’ve used it more on quarry / in the field I’ll hold out on giving any in-depth impressions.
But as mentioned in a previous post, I bought the 4K NS not because it had the best day / night time image. But I liked the: cheaper price, significantly lighter weight, inbuilt IR, eye relief, changeable battery, having previous DS35 muscle memory etc
*To add, I’ve only used it during the day. I haven’t played with the IR at night to compare my 850LED vs 930 vcsel
