Gpt mime recently and is (as far as I can tell) the newer version. Seems they have lsitened to the early criticisms and upped it significantly- the cheek riser si now screwed down so no issues qith it popping off, and eg seems to be a lot better. If I do a full mag (12 shots) theres a variation of about 20fps which makes very little, if any, difference in real terms.
I did have a bit of confusion with the mags, in terms of slug or pellet, but found out that in 177 you just get the one type, so no real problems.
You do need to give the barrela godo clean- I used mine fo ra week or two before i did, and th eamount fo grease in it was amazing. Took a dozen pull throughs to get it done, but it did improve accuracy. In terms o fthat, I can get a 5 p group at 30 yards if I take a bit fo time between shots- in reality if you get yuorself back on target its long enough- over that, it does seem to drop of a bit. Not hugely, but Im thinking that a bit more lead through it will help.
The mag is very different to the L2, being a straight oush in so that it fits between the barrel and th efeed, which is sorung so it keeps agood seal- no air blowback like th eL2, which was nice. Loading is vey simple and easy, and about as quick as a regular airgun, and getting the mag in correctly is very easy.
Loading itself is good, but you MUST make sure the pellets are pushed down with the supplied pelle tpusher, if you dont youll get a full mag bouncing down the table in short order as they will come out at a rate of knots.
The feel is very good, and I have to say ti does look rather tasty. Its light (or a lot lighter than I expected) and I can manage standing shots easily.
The initial setup to get the gas release pressure for the mag right can br annoying and time consuming, but its pretty much a one off and simple. Reg adjustment is incredibly simple and they do give you the tool for it- mine was a touch higher than it wanted to be, and i did adjust in the field (seen statements that this can be done, and if you adjust slightly and a couple fo shots off, its not a problem. Took a minute or so to get it spot on, so while its a little more work than the " (there is a cover toremove to get access) its no more complicated really.
The only downside Ive found so far is that if someone borrows it its hard to get back (

) and its a real pellet eater if you let it. I much prefer it to the L2, for both adjustment and ease of use (especially loading mags, a lot easier), and it does feel a lot nicer to shoot.
Id go for the slash over the L2 (have the slash, had the L2) and no desire to go back.
