I’ve pretty much just stumbled across Element yesterday and after reading some reviews, I’ve found myself looking at their Helix range. They look like good value and price wise they’re similar to Optisan which I’ve been buying for years. What is more, I’m always impressed by a lifetime warranty…, might be worthless but hey, maybe not.

I fancy a change so can I ask if anybody has experience of these scopes, particularly the 6-24x50?

Pull no punches, tell me exactly what you think….

I have a 6-24x50 FFP on my FAC Dreamline and I enjoy it very much.
Set up on adjustable mounts, paired with an Element range finder and ballistics app, I shoot out to 200m on good days.

This is my first and only Element, and I only bought it in June this year, but it has seen a number of hunting trips to date.

Excellent mate, cracking use out hunting too.

Nice all rounder… 👍👍👍

Im also after a new optic and have been looking at the arken epl4 6-24x50, i do have a helix on a gun and yes its a nice scope but i miss ir on it which the arken has also my parallax adjuster on the helix is very stiff so i use a wheel on it, the lack of use might have something to do with the parallax being stiff so dont let that put you off just thought i would mention the arken give you something else to look at (y)

I’m going to be controversial here….i have a 6x24x50 Helix sfp and I just can’t get on with it!.
Undoubtably has a lovely reticle and fantastic clear glass but I just can’t get on with the eye relief at higher magnification.
However…..I am a relatively new shooter and i may just be setting myself up incorrectly.
Not having these issues on other scopes mind so I may move it on.

Yep I can't fault mine 6-24 x 50 on my Impact. Great glass and solid construction. I like the spikey adjustments which are good for cold wet days and the inlcuded magnification knob fo rthe same purpose.

I have two and they are nice, clear and well made scopes. I am also thinking of getting another one.

Praise indeed, Helix it is…..

I’ve been Optisan for years and had 6 at one point. It’ll be nice just having something different so many thanks to you all. I knew I’d get the info I needed.

And @old git, not too worried about the IR TBH. I’ve had it on many other scopes and never really used it but thanks for your post. I may well look at Arken in the future. This is another brand I’m not familiar with. And @SPB, spikey is good. I suppose that’s down to the stainless steel internals. I can’t stand wishey washey clicks so spikey every time for me. 👍

The info here, to me, is exactly why this forum is so valuable. An instant response with real life opinions. Not ‘my mate has one’ or ‘I saw a bloke use one once’, real owners with real experience. What you’ve enabled me to do is make a real, informed decision and buy in confidence. It’s not super expensive but still, good effort…Cheers! 🍻

I’ve one on a .22 WMR and it does everything asked of it. Decent glass, well made and at a good price. You can’t go wrong and won’t regret it.

I have the 4-16 and it’s a great scope. No issue's, no complaints, reason I went for the 4-16 was being the smallest of the helix(still a fair size scope). Nice picture, nice clicks, no annoying caps! 😀

The helix are great scopes and although they are the base models of the Element optics range, you get a lot of scope for the money. I had 2 of the 4-16x44 when they first came out and had them on both my rifles. Still have one on my HW90k but replaced the one on my ProSport last year with the Element Immersive 5x30.

They did bring out 2 new Helix in the range last year which has the HD glass (standard glass from the Titan range upwards), but I believe they are lower magnification than the one you specifically asked about, and are more expensive.

I have the 2-16 x50 HD , glass is nice and the ret is superb , I also had the 6-24 x 50 , this was bought new ( only scope I’ve ever bought new ) and really liked this too , highly recommended and I believe the warranty on them is very good

Thanks for that.

Interesting, I may look into the Titan range then. I’ve a Sightron II with great, Japanese glass so I’ve a good idea about what’s good and bad.

Many thanks.,👍

I too am following this as i am looking for a new scope too but been looking at the Arken / mtc / vortex / hawke / element but most shops only keep the ones they make the most on or the most popular.
it seems that optics warehouse cover nearly all scopes but a faff if you don't like it and need to send it back.

Had one, great inside up to 25m. Outside I found the glass sub par out to 50m. Chromatic abrasion was pretty bad.
