Off the shelf custom Springers?

Realistically there are no full custom shops as they source the stocks elsewhere
You need to decide on the rifle you want, speak to someone like Nick Simmons (there are others) get the rifle tuned and order a bespoke stock from somewhere like Tilly’s, Gary Cane and Warren Edwards (there are others) who will make a stock specifically for you not supply one off the shelf
It won’t be cheap and will take a while but you will have a custom rifle made specifically for you that no one else will have
Solid advice thank you

Are these listed on the site? Can't seem to find mention of them

2 of the 3 left.

Just to add I've nothing to do with Perkins or Nick. I was looking at these recently though as an option for my Gary Cane stocked nickel V- Mach. Fortunately for me HW95 sold me his V-Mach black action so I didn't bother going down the Perkins route. With what mine's cost me over the years the Perkins guns seem ok but you could do it all cheaper, but the shops got to make money.

Perkins had 3 new nice Nick Simmons 97/77s in a few weeks back. I dare say they may still have some left.
I foolishly sold a 97 that Nick had done for me . But I’ve got a tx200 he has done as well.
Which I’m very much looking forward to shooting again soon (touch wood).
Really nice bloke who has a passion for engineering and proper air rifle tuning .

Now I have never tinkered with my rifles, never had anything tuned

I have never fully seen the need, I guess I have been lucky and had rifles which perform to the extent of my shooting abilities out of the box

That said I've seen a few custom rifles lately that even though they aren't a need, they are definitely a want, and they have made me curious to see how much extra performance I can eek out of a customised example

I did some googling without much success, so I was wondering if anyone could please put me in the direction of shops/members who will take brand new rifles, fettle and modify and offer for sale

To clarify, I mean more than just tuning kits, I have seen some with additional barrel weights added, additional/modified components, new stocks, different finishes etc

I know Braces of Bristol sometimes have some Liquid Steel Designs rifles in stock, and Ratworks will sometimes have some modified springers for sale, can anyone recommend other places to keep an eye out for something unique?

Thanks in advance
Watching with keen interest !!

Sandwell Field Sports will do various different grades of tuning to a lot of the HW springers (and probably other makes) but if you want to put it into a better stock, you will probably need to go aftermarket.
My Sandwell HW98 is an absolute gem. I can’t believe how accurate it is.

I’m putting a CS1000 mk2 on mine.

Again the ones at Perkins are tuned by Nick Simmons with Lukas Parsley off the shelf stocks
Speak to Nick Simmons directly and order the stock you want not what someone else thinks you want
The most visual thing is the stock and everyone has their ideas on what they think is ideal

Not sure of others but there other makers

Order one from these guys and you will have a stock made to your specification and size
The tuning of the rifle can also be specified to your requirements

In spite of the seemingly conflicting press, i've always had an itch for a 99 Imp. 👍
I just don’t get it, not sure why SFS gets such a bad time. I’ve spoken to Tony on many occasions and he’s amongst the most helpful and knowledgeable blokes I’ve ever dealt with.

The bad press is totally unfounded….

One thing I would say about buying off the shelf, but echoing Rikards point about buying the stock you want and not what someone else thinks you want, is that when paying top 'dollar' you want a stock that fits you and not because it looks nice. My Gary Cane stock was made to measure to fit me and what I wanted. The off the shelf Grand Prix stock made for the Daystate Grand Prix is actually smaller. I know this as I had one before I got Gary to make me two GP stocks bespoke for me.

Another TX or HW97 would be the obvious choices they are already some of the best springers around

Anything that adds to a tune into that mix, with some visual flair and perhaps modified/custom stock would be very cool

I like the HW77/97s - a lot.

I have a 77, sort of "Airmasters recreation / restoration / homage / fraud" - depending how you view it!
Looks lovely, tuned by Nick Simmons, stock by Nath92 and blued by Paul Chell - a real "Forum special," resored from a wreck.
Will try to sort out some photos in the next day or two - just for information, obviously.

With regard to stocks, I must say that the standard HW97s are my favourites despite having a CS500 and CS600 on others - very personal choice, of course.

Is there not a Thread on here to show off 77s and 97s?
Might get you thinking - I accept no responsibility for resulting overdrafts, divorces etc!

TXs? Sorry, no ideas about them.

I had found them on guntrader after I commented, strange they aren't on their own website but thanks for keeping the links handy!

They do seem very nice, but I was wondering myself what the breakdown of costs is, and whether it would work out cheaper to go through the same process myself

I have also heard that LP stocks aren't always the most comfortable things to use

Beautiful rifle you have!

Thank you for all of those!

Will definitely have a look into them

I look forward to the pics sounds like a peach

“Off the shelf custom” is a total contradiction.

You could buy something from Perkins/Braces/LSD/Ratworks, but it won’t be custom to you and chances are you could achieve very similar cheaper if you organised it yourself.

IIRC a highly modified 77 with cerakote etc etc failed to sell on here recently. It was very nice, but you’re into best part of a grand to get that point and it won’t be any more accurate than a £300 standard, used model. It might be a bit nicer to shoot, and look different, but that’s it.
