I just ordered the new PX100 Benchrest Pro in the Blue. Delivery expected in 2 weeks. Will write it up after I get it.

Planning to use it in lieu of the PX100 Achilles X3 that I was using as a BR rifle.

Never heard of the brand.
1 it looks perfect, 2 I didn’t see a price.

So I hope the Christmas post don’t drag their feet. Look forward to hearing it’s performance

Looks ok that, odd name though when they describe its use as ‘fun shooting, plinking’!

Interesting though.

I was away over the Christmas period and unfortunately missed your post. I hope that your new rifle has arrived by now!

I would be very interested at your view of the rifle - as you know, I am finding my "Achilles" to be a very accurate and inexpensive gun.

I have not yet converted it to benchrest spec - partly becase I didn't want to drill the stock for any fittings and not wishing to mess about with the butt. I use a single shot loader from https://www.bobpattenden.com/ssl (also a member of this forum).

I know that you have helped extensively in the past but would welcome a picture of your current bench rest setup and any thoughts you may have.

Thanks and regards - Peter

The Benchrest Pro is a lot more accurate than the regular Achilles BR. It also is built differently, is a lot heavier (and therefore stabler). You will see the pictures on their site.

I am using it with a Vector Continental 4-18 SFP scope and I find the combination very effective. My friends who shoot with it are blown away.

Isn't the Match pro is a different rifle to the PX100
Yes I mixed it up with the Bench rest Pro the OP was talking about, which seems to be an India only model. Although it does appear that in India the are comparably priced. I must admit the one that intrigues me is the carbine break barrel gas ram. I like to imagine it as a Fenman for the masses, but I suspect it will disappoint as it is a sealed strut rather than a true gas ram. If it had a wooden stock rather than the polymer I'd still be tempted at that price point though.

OK, I think that this may help - The image is from the Air Arms UK site. If you look at the block under rear site (Top Image) it clearly states PX110 - Match Pro and at an eyewatering markup - GBP785 😢

Precihole can clearly mak these and sell them at a profit in India at those retail prices. At a guess, their cost is less than £250. Ho hum Air Arms, we see you.

Standard X3 is under £300 in India, seemingly £785 here, I appreciate moving it half way round the world, paying tax/duty and making a margin for the distributor and retailer is a thing, but a 260%+ margin feels slightly rough.
