Im looking for a head start on what’s best to put through an HW100KT in .177
Ive always used Air Arms diabolo field in .22 through my s410tdr but don’t know if they would be the best to choose for the weihrauch. Any advice would be great. Mainly targets with occasional rats and rabbits.

The one that suits yer rifle the best. (Trial and error) every barrel is different. JSB / QYS / FTT. etc, etc, Just stick to a supposed decent pellet Until you find the best that suits.

Hi CM, in my hw100 which i have owned for over10 yrs
i use .177cal 8.4grn air arms fields, they are
very accurate, and hard hitting, my prey are rats, tree rats,
and rabbits.

aadf worked well in both my hw 100's bud so did bsa goldstars worth a try

In no order, JSB Express 4.52, QYS domed + streamlined heavies both 4.50 and H+N Barracuda FT 4.51. As you can see it's a mixed bag but that's what I've found in my hw100 carbine but all guns are different....

Don’t forget, it’s not just the make but the size that suits. 4.51 / 4.52 or 4.53. Each will cause drag or not, which will affect POI.

my advice, for what it’s worth, is try some sample packs of each manufacturer.

not all pellets are equal and each are differing in hardness and material makeup. It’s not as straightforward as you might think to get the optimum result.

I am using an old batch of Daystate FT pellets, a jsb derivative. Work well in mine.
I have some Daystate Kaiser's that were not the best through the barrel so put some through a 452 sizer. They are nearly as good as the others now, even at 45yds.

Make sure you try QYS streamlined heavies 9.56g as part of your wider pellet testing.
In my .177 HW100 they are the best by a very small margin. Also good are JSB exact and AA diablo - but best are QYS.

JSB heavies 👍

Like said in previous post , what ever suits your barrel . I have great results with JSB heavies 10.3gr , QYS , AA fields and one of the best AA express 7.9 gr

My 100 shoots JSB express better than any other pellet.
A HW101 I previously owned shared the same preference

Whatever the gun, I would always suggest starting with a JSB or JSB clones like Air Arms and working from there. They are not always the best, but with Weihrauch (and LW) barrels they usually are. Also, most HW100s I have tried like heavier pellets.

Like @Boysey said, try to get a sample pack, and if you're going to use them outdoors, make sure you test them outdoors, in the wind, at realistic distances. Almost any pellet can group well at 25 yards indoors but what happens outdoors at 45 yards (or whatever distance interests you most) can be very different.
