Whilst awaiting completion and collection of a new rifle, I was pondering what sort of hardcase to go for?
I did a little digging and Plano seemed quite good, so I ordered one and it arrived with in 36hours!
It is a little bit big, and pretty heavy for a case - but at least it has wheels and a couple of handles! (and it's lockable)
Trouble is, once you have a nice case you really do need to put something nice in there...
....which takes me to part two of the little enterprise!
A number of weeks ago I had a little chat with a smashing gentleman by the name of Shaun. Now, Shaun and his dad have been known to produce the odd rifke from time to time. Calibre & stock blank were agreed on, along with a few other details, and production got underway.
I had regular picture updates, and decisions to make here and there along the way.
Fast forward to a wet and stormy Friday evening, and I was able to collect it from Shaun at an agreed meeting place. (Hats off to him as he had a hellish journey and was nothing like at his destination yet when we met up!)
So, this is my ISP Spartan. She's a .22 in a stunning walnut stock, (checkering done by the brilliant and talented Craig) with a few lovely engravings, including the cocking lever which was one of the last ones done by the late Don Blocksidge.
In the flesh she is simply stunning, an absolute testament to Shauns skill, a true engineering master, and a gregarious, friendly chap to boot. (He even gave me a lovely sling)
She's wearing a Zeiss scope and donny mod.
Absolute class, I'm in love and not even shot her yet!
