I did it, I took all the advice into account from my last post, looked at all suggested, still couldn't make my mind up, so went with my original choice, or I'd still be looking :) I did go to the shop intending to look at a couple of others, but while very helpful and friendly (not my experience in one particular shop). but still seemingly reluctant to let me handle other stock... Still I now own a .177 Reximex Pretensis Synthetic, with a moderator, next stop, scope, Bipod and bag, oh and pellets.
 
The Reximex Pretensis are a lovely gun. Very accurate and highly capable. i was so impressed with the performance of my .177 walnut, that I purchased a synthetic stocked one in .22. Both are a joy to use. :)

Apparently the new ones are regulated... I don't think mine is, so must be older stock.
 
Happy New Gun Day, I will be joining the Reximex brigade with a new Myth in a short while !
 
HNGD. I’ve got a sorted Ixia and very pleased with the quality of it. I wouldn’t worry about it not being regulated. It’s often just something extra that can cause problems.
