A while ago I put up a post has anyone tried or brought a Chinese Crosman 2240?
Anyway I brought one out of curiosity about a month ago ,used it few times before I give a light feedback and review as it would be more fair than out of the box
Firstly a walkabout the 2240 no longer has the engraved “ thus is not a toy” down the side and now a more acceptable lazer etching, the chemical bluing is better quality, surprisingly the trigger is better.
It is fitted with the new type pistol grip
I brought a standard purchased pistol and added some bits I had to bring to the Crosman pro kit, I then added a power adjuster to reduce the power and find the sweet spot as I was shooting at a restricted 5 metres.
How well does it shoot? Hmmm!! I am not that impressed, I was shooting with no wind and 9 degrees given its temperature dependent.
Previously I used it it was all over the place, the temperature was lower, yet I would only expect the group to shoot low.
Resting shots on both occasions, so for my final verdict resting shots at 5 metres and difficultly to get it to zero I found it poor and less accurate than a US made Crosman even with a better trigger it gave 3 inch groups at that distance
, it’s fun to shoot tin cans with as its “tin can accurate” that about it.
The pros - better quality and trigger
Cons - tin can accurately
Final thought- it’s ok ish, my Budget Beeman p17 deluxe is far more Superior
