Hi just a question to any of you pocketknife builders my grandson wants to build a legal pen knife.he has been on utuube the only thing he is struggling with is the size of the solid brass pins that you use.could someone help please.

As for the size of pins really you want to use steel pins in the spring and pivot you can use what size you want, scale pins 1.5 mm spring pine 2-3 mm and the blade pivot I'd go 3-4mm ok
 
Had a visit from @wiltshirejohn this morning to collect the knife and have a catch up and cuppa, cheers john lovley to see you again and chat. He showed me some new knives he bought and i the same and hopefully my turn to visit him in the better weather to shoot with him 👍

Only problem is that I'll have to get off my backside and actually clear some of the jungle that is known as 'my garden'.
Due to emotional problems (and idleness!) it has been totally neglected since SWMBO died.
Still -- good reason to do something!
