Is 11.6 max, average 11.4 too hot for a .22 using 16gr.
Just about right, but keep an eye on things by running over your chrono periodically and could try some heavies through and knock power back a touch if running too close for comfort. For reference, I run both my R10 and S410 at about 11.2FPE
Yes PCP. Opposite for them heavier means muzzle energy goes up.Presume your rifle is a PCP. Those figures from a springer would be well over with a lighter pellet.
Results from the Bisley Magnums 21gr.
hi, 10.6 low 10.3. Ave 10.4 Pellet weight was 21gr. Tried my AA 16gr after to check and hi 11.4, low 11, Ave 11.2. Strange heavier pellets are lower muzzle energy. What do you think.
Ordered some will give em a go.Bisley Magnums tend to be a bit tighter so zap energy / give slightly lower readings.
As mentioned by @robs5230, try JSB ‘Exact Jumbo Heavy’ - 18.13gr.
Not always though , I found bisley mags in .22 gave less than jsb jumbos in my guns.Yes PCP. Opposite for them heavier means muzzle energy goes up.
Amazing, the opposite of what I’d always believed to be the case. Your results are very similar to my own with exactly the same pellets through a .22 Impact M3So my results for the HW100in .22
