Afternoon all
I'm interested in trying a lead free pellet or two, so far which brand and type in .22 have you chaps found to be the best so far ?

If we totally stop buying the rubbish . we will then get the manufacturer fighting for us to multi million pound company' have clout .poke um with the right pointed stick and they will run in the direction you want . other wise there pockets empty and they dont like that . So they will be telling the powers that be the no ones buying this lead free stuff.. coz its rubbish .

We’ve been using lead for hundreds of years in all sorts of guns why change now, I have a few thousand leads pellets and will Probably buy a few more.

I was just this second wondering this. Glad I searched rather than starting a new thread.

Has anyone tried the barracuda greens? Was just looking at those and was mildly curious.

Whilst I agree that lead ammo risks are perhaps being exaggerated, I think "why change now" is a terrible reason to keep doing something.

I agree better to be ahead of the curve rather than playing catch up. It will come about there’s too many snowflakes out there now. Perhaps it’s time to push pellet company’s into developing better non lead pellets now rather than be stuck in limbo when a ban does come and we’re stuck with a very limited range of choice.

The problem is that lead is lovely and dense/heavy, so it works well for our application. Not many other things (that don't cost the Earth) carry the same, ideal, properties.

I'm not averse to change, but when something is more or less perfect for the job then I tend to lean toward the 'if it ain't broke blah blah' side of things.

We're shooting (well, some are!) tiny groups out to 50 yards. Is it any wonder nobody is really looking too hard for an alternative? :D

Tory or Whig, male or female, straight or gay, inundate your MP's mailbox with letters, get up in their face...once they truly see which way the wind blows, they either bend to their constituents & represent their interests, or learn to run a cash register at Aldi or B&Q...😊
