So gents (and any ladies present)
does any one have any experience with Moore & Wright digital micrometers
I'm a Mitutoyo guy myself but I need a couple of mic's for use at work, 1-2 inch and a 2-3 inch

now my company has old analogue ones only in imperial, trouble is I check every component I make and I have to read the old style where as to me a digital one is far easier.
Hence, as they are so much cheaper I was going to buy a couple to make MY life easier.
Company has offered to pay to have them calibrated.
Just wondering if they are a battery muncher (like the cheap ones), feel nasty or damm good value.
Many thanks, Nick

They aren't bad, M&W used to be all made in England along with Baty, although I think now its mostly all farmed out to the far east. I've always used Mitutoyo as was bought into the eco system for the data transfer setup.

Thanks for the response, I decided to take the plunge with a pair of M&W BUT, I didn't realise I was looking at a "starting from" price.
Too expensive for M&W for the pair, so I will probably just buy Mitutoyo instead but one at a time as I can afford them.
Learned years ago, you get what you pay for, buy once etc.
