think it came back on Friday night and rebored the tunnels, i set the trap on Saturday and got it over night.
Don't think we need a photo.

Well done, they are a fantastic little creature, certainly an odd one, but you just don't want one in your garden or pasture.

I've used petrol with some success. About half a pint poured into the run then covered over again. I don't light it, the smell is enough to drive them away.

It's been a month and trap not sprung. No fresh signs of escapees tunneling under the fence line.

Pulled the trap out and tripped it with a stick, it still functions fine despite being buried in wet ground for a month, no signs of rust either.
Hosed off and rechecked and all good for future use. Trap now in garage and can set about fixing the lawn which will recover over winter.

Learnt a lot about Moles and some sound advice from forum members in dealing with the issue
