MDT oryx chassis

I only use my CZ457/Oryx chassis for benchrest.
Depending on your setup (front rest/rear bag) you might like to add a thumb rest.
I made mine from a scrap of aluminium, shaped and polished it, then glued it on with JB Weld.
It works fine, and allows a more 'subtle' grip, while still giving you the room to take a normal grip if desired.
You could also use a nice piece of wood instead of alloy.

These are fantastic and can easily be made better with a few 3D prints, my favourite being the adjustable butt pad and like @Danger Mouse, a wider thumb rest (I use carpet tape to stick mine)

Hi,this is an Adjustable Butt Pad for the MDT Oryx chassis.The sliding part is press fixed to the "wheel part" trough a counter nut.Feel free to post improvements/comments.Many thanks to Hallhouse01 for the basic concept, i just tweaked some additional stuff.The "Spacer" part is not neccessary...
