Now not my cup of tea and he is only ever interested in ‘is it worth owt?’

Serial number says between 1908 - 1913, .177 and what seems a strong spring. What kind of value do these old things have?

christ, I wish I'd find a 100+ year old antique gun down the side of the couch

It definitely looks like it could use some TLC

There is no deep pitting but obviously no blueing, the wood is very dirty but seems to be free from any splits, and he firing cycle is pretty good considering.

Cant chrono until tomorrow but put a flathead pellet through 3mm marine ply at 10m which shocked me, thought it was going to bounce back about 3inch at best 😂

given my mate the news, he’s happy to have the info although he will probably never use it so it’s going to be stuck at the back of the cabinet like all his other stuff

The two hole trigger block and cast trigger guard makes it a gun produced in 1920. So what you have there is a BSA Standard Air Rifle in the 39.5" length , making it a Light Pattern. Value around £ 140 for a quick sale.

Beautiful rifle, had one as a kid, wish I could remember what happened to it.
