Resurrected this beginning of the month, after laying dormant for a few years. Thought how much for a replacement capacitor, while looking it up was amazed how much they were selling for and worse condition than mine. So after fitting a new capacitor £23 I was amazed how good a time keeper it was. Giving my VHP a run for its money, not lost or gained a second so far, may have to keep it in circulation. Never realised they rate it as a dive watch.

They're from a company called SKXMODS, and they're based in the US.

Here's a link to their page for AE-1200/1300 mods....the cases alone start at around $100, so not cheap, but certainly seem to be excellent quality.
I have three Casio Royals, and have drooled over these for some time, but they're just a bit too pricey for me to justify that cost on a £30 watch.
I have a couple of Chinese made knock-offs, which are not great quality - the module moves when the buttons are pushed, and can be hit-n-miss whether they activate the desired function.
But, they did only cost a tenner each!

Maybe one day I'll get a proper one from SKXMODS!

Just as a matter of interest, what was the shipping time (and cost if you don't mind my asking) from the US, and were there any customs issues etc.?
You can buy a full kit on eBay for next to nothing and that will give you everything that you need to build your own watch, you don’t need anything fancy just a good eye and steady hand and your there

The bracelet looked a bit too flashy for my liking as a daily wear, and very susceptible to damage. Also, in my opinion it didn't compliment the Classic looks of the Navitimer. I've now reverted to the Crocodile skin deployment strap which is more comfortable and I'm less concerned about damaging it.

I started collecting a couple of years ago primarily on solar watches, mostly Citizen. I picked up a Cressi 500m divers watch from this forum and it appears to be my most valuable watch. Wore it today, proper handsome but one to move on as it isn't solar

I’ve recently noticed my 13yr old Traser has been losing its glow so emailed Traser for a quote to replace the face, the case and to give it a general service. They came back with £270. I didn’t pay much more than that so opted to shop round for something else with Tritium vials as I mainly use the Traser to wear to sleep when I’m on dayshift (I constantly wake up and check the time)
When @Bish posted his recent purchase, I jumped on it and got one ordered.

My old Traser.

@Bish, did you get stung for import duty? I’d expected it, but the Parcel Force guy just asked for a signature and handed it over. Sat down to open the box and noticed a label saying ‘Customs fee to pay’ and ‘this package cannot be delivered until the charges are paid’
I’m guessing Parcel Force send a letter separately?
