I have a leshiy classic. Currently firing a little low. (See image below).
It's got a .177 350mm barrel.
I'm using 8.4grain aa diablos.
The gun is stock.
I have watched a few videos about making adjustments, and read some articles.
How do u tell what it is currently set to? And where should I start with adjustments?
I'm looking for around 11.5fpe.
And would like it to be as consistent efficiency as possible.

Although there's nothing wrong with the stock regulator (it's just designed for greater power levels) have you considered fitting the Huma sub 12 Reg kit? If you haven't already?
Might save messing/playing about twice?

You have a number of variables you can control, too much too explain here.

Is your Leshiy standard or does it have a Huma reg kit. Well worth fitting one if you haven’t already, it’ll double your shot count.

If you have the Huma kit, long barrel set reg to 80-85 bar, fine tune on HST. It won’t be far out.
 
There are (or at least were) Edgun videos by Ed himself on how to strip and mod the L1.

It’s easy to work on…
 
I've just stripped it. It doesn't have a huma reg but looks different to the reg on Eds video.

Looks like the standard reg. What’s it set at? You’d need a reg tester to be sure but you may get an idea from the scale.

Do a shot string down from way above reg to way below and find most efficient pressure (highest mv), . Set reg to this pressure and repeat, fine tune with HST.

Should have said that you can tune for efficiency or consistency or compromise between the two .
 
Yes, as stated that is the standard factory Edgun reg, nothing wrong with it apart from the fact that it is designed to function at FAC power levels, takes up twice as much room in the air cylinder, and will be unpredictable, prone to spiking, and you may well struggle to get any kind of consistently at sub 12 fpe levels.

Yep. Huma 12ftlbs kit sorts all this and their reg is calibrated in bar which helps.
 
I'll have to look at getting a huma reg at some point then

OP, as above it's the high power reg set-up giving you grief. You can source plenum reducing kits for the standard EDgun reg that will make it much better at sub12, but they are very hard to find. Having said that, a Huma Sub12 kit is probably the single best modification you can make to an L1 - it'll cure your problems, double your shot count, and make it a quieter rifle.
 
Better to keep HST fixed around 7 clicks out and then vary the pressure in +/- 5 bar steps from 80 bar and see where you get most efficient mv by doing a shot string covering on and off reg for each pressure. Set reg at this pressure then fine tune HST for desired mv. Use heavy pellet to check you’re legal.

This should ensure you’re near best efficiency and no spiking off reg.

You'll know that Human regs are graduated with a scale which I've found good enough for my purposes. Whether the scale indicates the true pressure or not is irrelevant to my mind if the testing I describe is done. Then its just a matter of keeping a note for each calibre (and of course always adjusting in accordance with Human guidance).

So its more of a "Nice to have" I would say. But I'm no expert, am I missing something? I suppose its good to know exactly what your set pressure is.
