Lee Marvin & The Yale Glee Club "Wand'rin' Star" on The Ed Sullivan Show -

Never knew Lee Marvin was on the Ed Sullivan show- my WW2 British Army grandad who was at Nijmegan and Bergen Belsen camp after liberation, he was always playing this song on Vinyl. My aunt had a pic of my grandad and his mates standing in a semi circle pointing their .303 Lee Enfield at the guy who took the photo, then later after I asked if she coukd dig the photo out, she said it had been lost.

Maybe why Lee Marvin is one of my heroes, apart from his movies, my grandads connection with the song. Class act, US Marine, WW2 vet buried at Arlington with many of the other best of many generations.

Not seen for years- great film. The lead female star, passed through suicide, I am sure. :( Both Lee and Clint are class acts.

Lee singing Hand Me Down That Can O beans, is another good one. But think it was Clint's only singing role.

Lee- "Whatever the bid is I'll double it"..... (when the Miners bid to Marry the Mormons spare wife)
