A few years ago I bought a knife from a member on the old AGF and I can’t recall his name but “Leaky” kind of rings a bell.
The blade is Thyssen krupps steel and the handle (leaves)? Are made from 5000+ year old bog oak.
I’ll attach a photo of the knife so if anyone recognises it I’d be pleased to hear.
The knife was quite sharp when I acquired it but eventually I felt it needed sharpening.
I bought a couple of stones on advice from someone but I was totally useless at it and only succeeded in dulling the blade further.
So I’m looking for an easy to use system, I have read on here about the various systems such as Lansky, and happy to try one but I’m also on the lookout for a sharpening system for chainsaw blades.
I can get a cheap kit to do the chainsaw so that’s no problem but if one of the knife sharpening systems could do both jobs that’s would be really cool but knife sharpening is my priority.
Over to you guys……
