Kempton Park Arms Fair - Sunday 5th July

Just over 2 weeks to go until the next fair folks.

The venue is Kempton Park racecourse and it's just outside ULEZ if you go via the M25/M3.

With around 200 tables, this is by far, the biggest and best fair for vintage and classic airguns.

There are usually a few modern guns for sale around the fair too, alongside classic and antique firearms, militaria and interesting old stuff.

I may well have a few items for sale myself, as well as lots of shooting related books that are taking up too much space and which I need to sell on. Just need to sort them out and work out which must go. I've got books from the Napoleonic era (Rifleman Harris from TV series Sharpe usually has a table at the fair), all the way up to more recent conflicts.

There are usually plenty of sellers with airguns at this show and it's just a fiver to get in between 09.30 and 14.30.

I'm going to this myself, what is the car parking like?

I'll be travelling for over 2hrs, so it would be great to know what to expect for a car park.
 
With just 4 days to go, I'm starting to really look forward to the fair as it has been 4 months since the lst one. A birdie tells me there is going to be a top tier collection for sale, with some very nice Webleys, among many other makes.

With less than 24 hours to go, I'm starting to get restless, as I anticipate what goodies will be laid out on the 200+ stalls the fair usually accommodates.

Weather forecast is good, so it should be a nice day.

I'll be snapping pics during the fair and will post them on here when I return home.

Looking forward going tomorrow, its about a 2 1/2 hour drive for me and my daughter to come over, fingers crossed the weather stays good, and I don't spend too much!!!! Lol

I'm sure that you'll have a great day, John and as usual, I'll look forward to seeing your photos. of the event.

My wife and I visited Newmarket Racecourse Antiques & Collectors Fair, a couple of weeks ago and I was pleasantly surprised to see a table of Webley air guns, for the first time!

I had a chat with the dealer (who was actually based in Newmarket) and had a good look at what he had to offer. Apart from a very well re.blued, boxed pre.war Mark I, his pistols were in only very average condition, but priced rather optimistically (!) Most, irrespective of model, including Juniors, were £195! There were a couple of Protek repro. boxes, beneath pistols, lurking in there, possibly masquerading as the real deal, for the unwary, but I wouldn't know, so won't cast aspersions......

Wandering past his table again, around 12pm (the fair was open from 10 until 4pm), I was a bit surprised to see that he had already started to pack up and nothing appeared to have been sold since I'd been there 2 hours before. There'd been plenty of interest in his table, but maybe his prices were a little too rich....?

Anyway, it was good to actually to have someone selling airguns (or hoping to!) at this regular event, for a change. It certainly didn't rival Kempton, but welcome nevertheless.

John with the weather being decent is it going to be in or outdoors?
 
I've been a couple of times, it's a fascinating day with plenty of airguns, from projects to as new for sale plus a fair bit of militarism and deacs (sorely tempted by a Barret 50 cal at one!😂😂
