Need advise on a good junior springer to start my 7 year old daughter on
Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated

HW30 is a contender for sure, think there are offerings from Stoeger and Cometa aimed at the junior shooter market but have no experience of those, sorry.

Agreed but I don't know of any junior sized springers that are particularly easy to cock.
Exactly, so may cause issues for one so young.
My 30 got calmed down and made smoother, wife still can’t manage to cock it 🤔

There are loads of threads on this subject. The best (imo) advice is to physically look at genuine junior springers to see which fits her best. It's better to have a cheap xs15, Gamo or Cometa than a HW that someone else has to cock, and then tuck it under her arm shoot (I've seen it).

A good budget option.
This is what I started my grandson off with.
If your daughter doesn't take to it then you've not spent to much.
It's light, really easy to cock, my grandson was 7 when he first shot it and he had no problems, it has anti bear trap, has a reasonably benign shot cycle with not to much twang.
Easy to use safety just in front of the trigger.
Trigger is usable, it's not a Record but for a rifle of this price point it's not bad.
Decent fibre optic open sights with the option to mount a small scope, about 5 or 6 ftlb, which is fine for a beginner.
And it's £65 if you shop around.

When I was 8 I had a pre war BSA break barrel which I managed easily. The equivalent today, something similar power a Weihrauch HW 30 which will sell easily when you want to,with minimal loss.

Thanks for all the help everyone I will start looking into these soon and let you know how I get on.

You already know my opinion, a .22 hw30 or cometa 100, lovely guns, a used hw30 or a new cometa 100 would be a solid buy

The game junior hunter is a good budget option as so I have found pretty fun to shoot as an adult too. I got one for my boys and a friend got one for his son too. Both better than expected

If your daughter has exceptionally long fingers for a 7 year old the HW30 may be ok. I'm taking mine (with a set back trigger) to the range today. I always recommend the stoeger x3 tac for kids - a genuine junior springer rifle.
