I need closer eye relief but scope mounts have no more adjustment available

As per title, I’m having to strain my neck to get my head in the right position to get correct eye relief. Tried to bring the scope backwards, but the mounts are right up against the back of dovetail and tube is s as far back as it can go on the mounts.

What can I do without buying a new scope or stretching my neck?

Btw, I’ve looked at rear reach mounts but it looks like they will block the magazine from being loaded.

Any advice gratefully received. 👍🏻

A photo showing the gun and particular issue may help with suggestions. I think I have a picture in my head, but am not 100% sure. By the way, some scopes like Hawke have a 3.5 to 4” relief, which may be an alternative.

Yep reach forward mounts reversed won’t help you and as you said will clash with the mag well. What exact model of scope is that, as the eye relief (relation to pistol grip) doesn’t outwardly look too bad…

May be wrong, but it looks like a Vector Optics Continental 3-18x50 Tactical VCT-34 FFP IR 34mm Rifle Scope, which should age a 4” eye relief…so should be ok….?

Vector Optics Orion. I maybe just need to get used to a different head position…..or buy a new scope.

Thanks for your advice

As mentioned reach back mounts but there's a slight issue.
It's your forward mount touching the bell housing of your objective lens which is the problem. Your rear mount can be moved a tad back and the scope with it. If you buy too far reaching mounts, you could have the opposite problem of hitting your turrets.
If you go for a reach back, it only wants to reach back an inch or so.

Of course if the scope is 30mm then you'll need the equivalent not 25mm.

If you go with higher reach back/cantilever mounts, they may then miss the mag, or you could go with a single shot loader option and not use a mag? Or you could go with a different scope (eg: longer) but I note you don't want to do that.
If you have an adjustable butt pad fitted, that may have extended the LOP, so if you can remove the adj butt pad that may bring you close enough to the scope also.

I run a dovetail set and weaver set of these, fantastic quality. Think they’re a bit cheaper from tactical scope as they give you £20 for signing up

Edit: they are cheaper at tactical scope

Hmm, should still be around 3” relief, but if it’s not working for you then it’s not working. The only other thing may be a continuous high rail (that the mag fits under), but that could well put the sight line far too high off the stock. I agree there’s no room to move that scope back without any angled mount cutting into the mag space.
