Went out the other evening to rezero after putting a pic rail on & test a few bits- had the nice surprise of 60 yearling cattle running up behind me when they should have been 3 fields away and definitely not in the field just cut for silage 🤔

All stop & phone their owner. Got them moved into a different field for him and then sacked off shooting to get the electric fence set back up for him whilst he was off mowing grass elsewhere

But at some point the rifle must have rubbed my back and the IR part of the focus ring has parted company with the scope body 😡 gaffa & insulation tape required

Sorry to hear that, hope it is a straightforward fix. Yearlings when they get something in their heads can be difficult to stop - electric is often only a deterrent. Once one goes the rest follow - food, fear, curiosity ...

How on earth did that happen? They're pretty hard to turn on some of my VO scopes. Maybe drop them a line?

Yeh I thought mine was pretty tight as well..... Until it wasn't.

It lays pretty tight & flat on that side against my back, guess walking up an down a slope gave it enough wiggle to pop off. I'll drop them an email but it's a few years old and I'm not the original owner so doubt they'll do much. I never use the IR tbh so it's not the end of the world- just 'til death do us part' with the scope now

Scope works fine, and I never use the IR anyway so no big deal - just want to keep moisture out.

These were bucket reared as well so are hard work to move if they don't want to- at least suckler bred can be pointed in a direction and then just hope they stop 🤣
