To all the HW90 users I’m thinking of buying a HW90 .177 the only thing is I have never shot one before so got no idea what to expect in terms of recoil, flip or harshness? No-one seems to have one at my local range which is a pity as I would love to try before I buy.
Have been enjoying my springers lately and thinking of adding gas rammer to my collection.

Or if anyone in Maldon area got one I could try would be handy 😊😀

Comments good or bad to anyone that as a HW90 please.

Thanks
Den.

It should give a thud, not a slam etc - make sure you chrono anyone you look at as they can lose air over time, this is user serviceable with the right pump and adapter etc.

Lovely rifles, and worth adding one to your collection.

Lovely guns - if you like them.
Some people do not - at all!

A real 'Marmite gun."

I strongly recommend that you try before buying - the recoil feels quite different from a conventional Springer.
Yes, they do recoil!

Very heavy too, if you considering carrying it far as in Hunting.

The trigger is fine, too.

Just beware of buying one which has been "tuned" or burgered around!

That’s the problem my local RFD you can’t try before you buy they have no range unfortunately?

I would only buy any gun without trying it if it was definitely a gun I wanted and was willing to overhaul ir whatever is necessary - usually far from new guns.

Nothing would make me buy a brand new gun anyway, probably except an HW30 for the kids, but without trying it?
Especially something as "Marmite" as an HW90?
Not me!
No way.

Makes total sense to me 👍 you never known someone local to me might read this thread and let me try theirs out 🤞

@Den

Think it through.
You fork out the price of a brand new rifle.
It loses about ⅓ of its value the.minute you leave the shop

Maybe you will love it, all good in that case.

Maybe you will loathe it and lose quite a chunk of money - if you can sell it

Yes that my thinking too 👍

Stunning rifles. I wouldn't be without mine. Plenty of used ones about normally. I like the trigger, some don't 🤷
I like the fast action and the thud they make. Ive had lots and have shot more. Only ever shot 1 bad one. A .20 that had a weird double chocked barrel.
