Whats the main differences between the 2 in your opinion? Was thinking a .177 45For me the hw75 ,, i have both and find the hw75 the easiest to shoot accurately , More than enough power for tin cans at short garden ranges and accurate enough for consistent accuracy on target cards , The hw45 is a bit of a tough cookie to master but doable with effort and plenty of practice
Ok noted. Is the 45 any better?HW75 is a bit loud as it's an SSP, so depends a bit on your environment/neighbours.
More power from the hw45 , more accuracy from the hw75 both excellent build quality , If you were to consider a scope i would say the hw45 is more suitable as your not pushing down on the scope to close the action , With the hw45 your going to be pulling the barrel action up from below which wouldnt be a issue as the scope is mounted on topWhats the main differences between the 2 in your opinion? Yes, more like a thunk than a crack (IYSWIM)Ok noted. Is the 45 any better?
HW45, a beast to tame yet amazing when you get the hang of it. Good for arm muscles tooFor backyard plinking which one is preferable?
I did look at these but saw lots of reviews stating hw75 feels much better for the price differenceWhat about an HW40, half the price of the HW75, no fancy wood grip and plastic but very good value. Or go one further and get a Beeman P17, a copy of the HW40 and only about £75.
Enjoy, update us with how you get on with it.I did look at these but saw lots of reviews stating hw75 feels much better for the price difference
I've got a 45 on the way![]()

HW45 goes off with a loud bang too, I have one & it makes your ears in a confined space, & echoes in the open.HW75 is a bit loud as it's an SSP, so depends a bit on your environment/neighbours.
