Not the worst I've seen on a 30, but a definite indication that left unattended its going to get worse

Quite poor design, not helped by the uk fascination of the little junior rifle, and the extent that it can get pushed to here.

See thats the bit i dont get !! If its designed to be a junior rifle should it not be built like a tank to take tins & tins of pellets through it.
Get brand loyalty at an early age.

Marketed as a junior rifle in Germany
Often pushed up to and beyond it designed limit here. Lots of preload is not the friend of the 30
The importer Hull Cartridge decide the spec on the rifles that we get here, not the maker

Similar with the 99 and all it's inherent probems
 
Make sure the piston seal isn't too tight, should just hold its own weight. with a tiny smear of moly on the sides.
 
I would say the two outer lines is the cocking link (not the insert though it is wearing off the bluing) wearing lines like the one in this thread.

i know but can be fix sand paper up to 2000 and molly grease or piece of plastic inside cocking lever , the best and cheap material will be :) or delrin cost about 5£ 1785187368443.webp1785187237987.webp
