Contemplating a PCP next year are a year or two without one.

Wanting to keep the rifle under £1000 but want a premium brand and I wanted regulated as I just prefer regulated guns.

Short of something nice second hand popping up near me I’ll be buying new so I’ve narrowed it down to the HW110 and the FX DRS…. My understanding is the HW110 is not user serviceable at all and partially plastic? Whilst personally I’ve never been a fan of FX after dropping big money in a Mk1 impact that had its accuracy measured in grid refs!

Had my 110 for around a year now from new, it’s not missed a beat, I wasn’t so sure about the ballistic polymer block/action before I owned it but I love it, it feels really sure to cock and I do believe possibly quieter for it too.. to be honest I’d prefer it if my 100s was the same, both great rifles though.. yaay I was worried about the power drop but some say they got on top of that and it hasn’t happened ✔️
I’ve a funny feeling though only my opinion the 110 will be more robust than the fx..

Weihrauch’s ROCK!!! ✔️
👊

To many haters already on the DRS…… so that means so many jealous airgunners wanting one but won’t admit it.

Joking apart I love mine, the DRS is light, accurate and fair shot count considering the air tank. May have been a fortunate but no issues, although the only issue I have is the fiddly mag

Had 2 HW100S,s i had issues from new. both shot very well. No better than my sorted BSA R10.
still got the bsa r10, sold both 100,s soon after buying, reason? boring.
i would go with a fx drs even with possible issues, easy to fix and i like like.

I was very dubious about getting a DRS and finally got one. To be honest its spot on there must be 100s of good ones out there to every one thats got issues.

The things that are a bit ‘meh’ for me are the fiddly mag and the triggers pretty average at best. The mag you get used too after a few goes.

If i address the trigger with the match unit it should be a little beauty.

The HW110 has plenty of issues as has the FX DRS, but a properly working example of either will serve you well, I currently have a DRS and it’s light, accurate and perfectly balanced… only thing I am not keen on is the fiddly mag but the HW has an awkward bugger of a mag as well…

I bought my HW100 just over a year ago now. As some internet commentor stated it will leak. Mine has been back to Hull Cartridge for a warranty repair for a leak.

It is such a great rifle for benchrest. In the forum comp I have shot a few 250s now with high 240s.

Cheshire gun room is often my benchmark for the best Weihrauch prices and Dai Leisure price match with free delivery for agf members 👊
From previous experience, i wouldn't recommend Cheshire Gun Room.

I do have a HW110 currently though, as i've said before on here the stigma attached to the rifles power loss admitedly is something that should have been addressed but is going to carry on for as long as people can remember. Picking up a second hand rifle will usually have the upgraded hammer spring and the AT removed and at a lower price than new. Mine has been consistently accurate, reliable and enjoyable.

I can't commend on the FX but at that budget you are going to have much more options, see what you like and try to have a look at them in person to have a good feel.

What would you go for and you can’t say a rapid 😂

I simply couldnt buy an FiX ever again and I’ve read the 110 suffers issues so I’d swerve both those and I even had issues with hw100’s and can confirm to be HWintolerant

As you know I now enjoy using cheaper stuff as I like to tinker, If I had to buy something for a 1k£ it would be something used from AGT, Airmaks or Kalibrgun.
New sub12 pcp, nothing seems to interest me anymore apart from a Taipan veteran 😎 but that’s not happening yet, although I’ve recently bought a new Crosman Challenger 6ftlb target rifle and like it a LOT.
I think I’d look for something used that’s been looked after and save a few quid 🤔

I've an FX Dreamline synthetic and it's a great gun. Nice and light, very handy and more accurate than I am. So I've a DRS on order and am looking forward to it. I also have an HW100 FSB and love that too so I'd say you can't go wrong with either, I don't know the 110 but understand it's got more plastic bits than the 100.
